ATLAS A120

Established in the air-transport, the Airbus A320 is one of the most successful aircrafts built. Its latest version, A320neo, entered service in 2016 and amongst other upgrades, enables the use of larger engines with lower fuel consumption.

This project aims to suggest a preliminary design of an ultra high bypass ratio geared turbofan that will stand an appealing option among successful engines as the General Electric CFM-56 and innovative ones as the CFM LEAP 1A. The design is mainly driven by the aircraft specifications, the low fuel consumption  and the material limits.
