Nowadays, gas turbine is the largest used technology for electricity generation. In this scenario, recuperation, combined with intercooling, might be considered as a potential solution to enhance thermal efficiciency of  medium-large sized power plants. Hence, the preliminary design of an ICR 120 MW class gas turbine will be illustrated as a valid alternative for several modern ones available on the market.
